Dr. Joseph Bart Venâncio Arrington is a healthcare innovator, physician-scientist in training, and executive leader whose career spans medical research, health-systems operations, entrepreneurship, and advanced business strategy. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Beacon Sleep Solutions, Dr. Arrington developed and patented a breakthrough medical device designed to detect and interrupt parasomnias such as sleep paralysis, sleepwalking, and night terrors. His patented technology underscores his ability to translate complex clinical problems into innovative, commercially viable solutions—an ability that aligns directly with EDiFi’s goal of achieving clean claims on the first submission through predictive, data-driven automation.
Beyond entrepreneurship, Dr. Arrington built a strong foundation in healthcare operations at Intermountain Health, where he worked within Academic-Physician Operations to enhance clinical efficiency and support organizational performance across one of the nation’s top integrated health systems. His earlier research roles in the University of Utah Health’s Departments of Emergency Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology provided him with real-world experience coordinating clinical studies, analyzing care delivery, and improving patient outcomes through evidence-based innovation.
Academically, Dr. Arrington is completing a dual doctoral pathway that uniquely positions him as a future physician-scientist and systems architect. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Health Systems & Innovation Research at the University of Utah School of Medicine while simultaneously completing his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree at the Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine. His research focuses on innovation adoption, clinical decision-making, organizational behavior, and healthcare operations—areas that directly advance Elite Dental Force’s ability to influence how practices adopt AI, refine clinical documentation, and optimize RCM workflows at scale.
Dr. Arrington also holds an Executive Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Drexel University, an MBA from Westminster University, a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in Pediatric Clinical Research from the University of Utah, and an associate degree in health sciences from Ensign College. He is additionally certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, bringing high-level operational discipline to implementation strategies, process improvement frameworks, and healthcare quality initiatives.
